Feature: Making Memories in Sunset Avenue

We talk to some of our favourite Arnhem dreamgirls about the pieces they love the most from Sunset Avenue.

And, we find out more about their wardrobes, the pieces that mean the most to them, and about their new and forever pieces that create the strongest memories.

TELL US THE STORY OF YOUR WARDROBE; WHICH GARMENTS MEAN THE MOST TO YOU, AND WHICH PIECES HOLD THE STRONGEST MEMORIES.

The most important clothes are my mother's clothes! Her old Levis which I turned into shorts or her denim jackets that I love to wear during the spring and late summer evenings. I love to wear Arnhem pieces with denim jackets and the old cowboy boots - this is totally my style. Also, many of my grandma’s clothes which I have mean a lot to me, these clothes are totally unique, and I love  vintage style. I have a lot of clothes in my wardrobe, but whenever I go on trips, I only take my faves which are usually patterned, colourful and of course comfy - the clothes I travel with always hold the strongest memories for me.

WHAT MEMORIES ARE YOU DREAMING OF MAKING IN YOUR ARNHEM STYLE THIS SUMMER?

I dream of a beautiful long summer, I can’t wait for these long walks by the ocean in my beautiful Arnhem dress, watching the sunsets at the beach and eating açai for breakfast every day. I dream of returning to my second home - Portugal and to surf every day, all day long at the beach next to the home. I miss my burned nose from the sun and the coconut oil on my skin. I can't wait to travel and to wear all of these beautiful summer clothes, short tops, skirts and dresses. I believe this summer will be amazing, my favourite season so far.

The garments in my wardrobe that mean the most to me are usually some sort of denim whether it’s shorts, jeans, or a denim jacket. Most of my clothes are thrifted and second hand so from the start when I find them, they are truly gems and unique.

WHAT MEMORIES ARE YOU DREAMING OF MAKING IN YOUR ARNHEM STYLE THIS SUMMER?

The kind of memories I dream of would be, wearing my Arnhem pieces on the beach with a bonfire burning, yummy food and good company!

I love versatile pieces that I can style in multiple ways and from day to night. Sustainability is also a big factor to me which is why Arnhem is one of my favourite brands from years ago.

Dreaming of making lots of adventure memories in my Arnhem - in both adventures near home and hopefully far, if it’s safe and possible!

TELL US THE STORY OF YOUR WARDROBE; WHICH GARMENTS MEAN THE MOST TO YOU, AND WHICH PIECES HOLD THE STRONGEST MEMORIES.

Because I live in such a tiny van, my wardrobe consists of a few high-quality pieces that I know I'll wear over and over again. I typically lean towards flowy dresses as they're so easy to throw on and go! My favourite piece is the First Kiss Sundress. It's a staple that I know I'll have for years to come, and it always makes me feel so beautiful when I put it on. I usually wear it when we go exploring for sunsets, so it always reminds me of beautiful days by the sea.

WHAT MEMORIES ARE YOU DREAMING OF MAKING IN YOUR ARNHEM STYLE THIS SUMMER?

I can't wait to wear my Arnhem pieces while I beach hop my way around the South Australian coastline this summer. I hope to spend my summer making memories by the coast, spending all day in the sun and sea and ending it with a sunset over the ocean. Those are always the best days!

My Arnhem garments mean the most to me out of my wardrobe as I know there has been so much love put into each and every design/print. I feel so comfortable in all the pieces and know that no matter what, I will feel confident in Arnhem. I’ve watched the sun rise and fall many days in Arnhem and made gorgeous memories like catching up with friends over coffee.

WHAT MEMORIES ARE YOU DREAMING OF MAKING IN YOUR ARNHEM STYLE THIS SUMMER?

This summer I’m dreaming of spending quality time with friends and family soaking up the sun, good company and good food to nourish the soul.

TELL US THE STORY OF YOUR WARDROBE; WHICH GARMENTS MEAN THE MOST TO YOU, AND WHICH PIECES HOLD THE STRONGEST MEMORIES.

My favourite pieces are always the ones with stories behind them. My favourite weathered sarong I found up in Vietnam, my first designer bag I bought in Florence, and my favourite sundress found wondering the streets of Mexico. I try to stay away from fast fashion as those pieces always fade from my closet quickly. Instead, I collect special pieces with important memories. I love adding pieces of Arnhem to my closet as they are truly heirloom pieces and they remind me of my time in Australia.

WHAT MEMORIES ARE YOU DREAMING OF MAKING IN YOUR ARNHEM STYLE THIS SUMMER?

I plan on taking these pieces to Hawaii with my baby girl. Matching dresses with my babe in warm Hawaiian: Aloha Infused environment is my idea of heaven.

My style philosophy is quality over quantity and sustainability is a big focus of mine. My wardrobe has definitely evolved to reflect my relaxed, island-based lifestyle. If you opened up my closet you’d find an array of floaty skirts and dresses, beautiful prints and lots of linen! The pieces that mean the most to me are those timeless, feel good styles that I can wear over and over again - no matter the setting or location.

This Summer I’ll be channelling good vibes and light-hearted, carefree moments with loved ones and friends.
