Where you live and your what is your favourite thing about living there?
K: Melbourne. I love how cosmopolitan Melbourne is, with so many incredible restaurants that are so inventive whilst simultaneously authentic across so many cuisines.
Y: I currently live in Melbourne and my favourite thing about it is the restaurant scene. There are so many quaint wine bars and restaurants down cobblestone streets that are reminiscent of Europe!
Tell us a little about your connection to Greece and what it was like shooting there?
K: Greece is a very special place for me. Both of my parents were born there and we spent many summers there as young children, so being able to shoot in a place that very much feels like home was a dream come true. It was so fun to have the locals interacting with us on the shoot, laughing along and encouraging us to return again next year. The Greeks are such welcoming and hospitable people.
Y: Both of my parents were born in Greece and migrated to Australia. The majority of our family still live in Greece, which is why we go on holidays to Greece just about every European summer to visit them. It was a dream come true to be able to shoot on the island of Paxos with Arnhem, which is a Byron based brand. Byron is our home away from home and as close to Greece as it gets in Australia. It was honestly a dream come true! I’ll treasure these photos forever!
What was your favourite part about shooting the campaign and your favourite piece from the collection?
K: Truly, to be in such jaw dropping gorgeous locations every day, swimming in the sea amongst the best company was such a highlight of the campaign. It felt like a holiday with your best friends.
For me, I am such a beach bum so the Sabba bikini with the Sabba beach scarf is the perfect vacation outfit for a day at the beach.
Y: Being able to work with such a talented team and incredible brand who are so passionate about what they do! They made us feel so beautiful and inspired to shoot in such a special place in the world.
Definitely the Indy one piece! It’s so flattering and colourful, allowing you to make a statement whilst going for a dip. You can also rock the swim as a bodysuit, and pair it with the Indy pants or the Indy beach scarf, meaning you can go straight from the beach to sunset drinks.
Where is your favourite place to visit during Euro Summer?
K: The greek island of Amorgos is such a hidden gem for me. Azure waters, expansive beaches, graphic landscapes and some of the best food in Greece. I love the tranquility away from the masses.
Y: Definitely Greece! There is no place like home. One of my favourite Greek islands to visit is Hydra, as there are no cars allowed on the island, so you can walk everywhere by foot. The island has some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen and the food is out of this world! I also love Amorgos, which is a quaint island in the Cyclades known for its unorganised beaches and underground food scene!
