Sustainable Fabrics

Our goal is to work exclusively with sustainable fabrics, so, we source high quality fibers that respect people & planet.

Trees

Our core fibres are sourced from certified and renewable raw wood material derived from sustainably managed forests. The fibres are compostable and biodegradable and at the end of their life can return safely to nature.

Why We Love

Organic Cotton is free from hazardous synthetic pesticides, insecticides and herbicides resulting in improved water retention and quality, and healthier soil that can store more carbon helping to combat climate change.

Plastic Free Trims

Once we’ve selected our sustainable fibres it’s onto conscious consideration of all of the trims.

Take a close look and you will see that our collections are plastic free, and this definitely creates a few design challenges. As an example, we avoid plastic zips and instead work with fabric ties, metal clasps, and buttons that are made from coconut or shell. Even our hanger tape and swing ticket ribbons are made from organic cotton, and our care labels are crafted from recycled polyester. Inspired by the patterns and beauty of nature, we move onto the mills for printing and dyeing.

FOLLOW THE JOURNEY

Recycled

Thinking circular, we’ve taken an innovative approach to fibres used for our swimwear and intimates. By recycling nylon waste into high-quality fibers we conserve natural resources, reduced our carbon footprint and keep materials in use.

Why We Love

Econyl® regenerated nylon is made from waste like fishing nets from the oceans and other waste destined for landfill. It’s infinitely recyclable and reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 92% compared with the material from oil.

The details are not the details. They make the design.

20% of industrial water pollution comes from textile printing and dying. After selecting fibres, we work with printing and dying mills to weave ourown unique fabric. We love vibrant prints and hold ourselves accountable by having no toxic relationships.

How we’re responsible.

We moved from screen printing to digital printing, which is a cleaner and greener alternative. It’s a more energy and water efficient process, significantly reducing waste of pigments and dyes.

Safe for you and the environment.

We have a restricted substance list in place to ensure there are no hazardous chemicals in your treasures.
Our mills have either Oeko Tex 100 certification or are Bluesign Systems partners.

Oeko Tex 100

Oeko Tex 100 certifies that no substances harmful to human health are present in the finished textiles. Substances tested are both regulated and non-regulated going beyond international requirements. Tests are conducted by independent Oeko Tex Partner institutes.

Bluesign

Bluesign is a holistic system that provides solutions in sustainable processing and manufacturing, ensuring that finished textiles are manufactured responsible use of resources and the lowest possible impact on people and the environment.
